Installing Macromedia Contribute

• Insert your Macromedia Contribute CD into the CD drive of your computer.
• Follow the instructions for instalation - leave all settings as default (keep clicking 'next' until 'finish').
• Go online.
• Start up Contribute 3.
• Enter your CD serial number (on its packet) - wait while it 'activates'.
   (if for some reason it won't activate click 'Go Back', click 'activate later' and then Email Ssnowgoose about this)
• Open the Connection Key email sent to you by Snowgoose.
• Double-click on its attachment.
• Select 'Open it' and click OK.
   (You can 'Save to Disc' and then double-click wherever you have saved it)
• Give your name, email address and connection key Password supplied to you by Snowgoose.
• Congratulations you are now connected to your web site files.

Note: If Contribute fails to 'activate' the most likely reason is that your browser is out of date
(requires at least Internet Explorer 5 and Netscape 5)

Once you have installed your web site Connection Key you will be able to use Macromedia Contribute to edit & update your web site pages.

Starting Macromedia Conribute

Whenever you want to update your web site you can now start up Macromedia Contribute by clicking on its logo or go to Start/Programs/Macromedia/Macromedia Contribute 3.

On the opening Contribute screen click on your web site name (If Contribute opens with the statement that you are "not online" click first).

After a delay, as Contribute downloads information, your web site homepage should then appear and you can now navigate your web site to any of its existing pages.
