Updating with Contribute
The Edit Menu
Navigate to the first farm field record page you want to
edit.
Click on Edit Page button
near the top left of the Contribute window.
(If the Edit Page button does not appear click on the Retry
Connection button)
You will now see a menu layout that is very similar to that
of Microsoft Word, with some familiar editing options.
And you will see that your page looks quite different, with
much of the content split up into cells. Your page is now
ready to be edited.
(You can close the left hand menu by clicking on its arrow
tab )
Adding New Farm Field Records
If you are creating the first record of a page simply
type date & task into the existing empty shaded line.
To add to existing records:

NOTE FROM SNOWGOOSE:
Would recommend
that the latest task always be at the TOP of the
page.
After a few years of records this will avoid you having
to scroll down the page to see the latest record for
each field.

If you make any mistakes you
can use the Edit/Undu facility (in top menu)
to go back any number of steps.
If you make a complete hash of everything you can
click on Cancel
to cancel everything and start again! |

WARNING - Never close down Contribute whilst you are in
EDIT mode.
You can also edit:
- Field SIZE - Simply type over existing numbers
to change (no need to type in 'ha').
- Field CLASS - Type in the CLASS box.
Publishing Your Updated Page
When you are finished editing and are happy with your changes
to the page you are ready for the new page to go online.
Click on Publish button
near top left of screen.
It really is as simple as that! You are now back to your
web site where you will see the page as it now looks on the
web and you can navigate to another page to edit if you wish.
